Początki

Lata ’60 to dla amerykanów wyjątkowy czas. To wtedy Neil Armstrong wylądował na księżycu, odbył się pierwszy festiwal muzyczny w Woodstocku i miało miejsce pierwsze połączenie internetowe. Ale z naszego punktu widzenia dużo ważniejszym wydarzeniem było powstanie prawdziwych Muscle carów. Pierwszy był Pontiac GTO, ale największą ikoną stał się Ford Mustang.

1964 

Teraz czas auta z pierwszego roku produkcji. Często oznaczane są jako 1964 1/2, dlatego że produkcja Mustanga ruszyła 8 marca a do sprzedaży trafił 17 kwietnia 1964 roku. Kupujący miał multum możliwości dostosowania samochodu pod swoje potrzeby.

1965/1966

Dla wielu rok 1965 jest pierwszym rokiem Mustanga, ale to nie prawda o czym pisaliśmy tutaj (KLIK).
Jednak najbardziej rozchwytywany typ nadwozia wśród Mustangów, czyli Fastback (wyprodukowanych 77 079) zadebiutował właśnie w ’65.

1967/1968

W marcu 1966 roku z taśmy produkcyjnej zjechał milionowy Mustang, więc Ford postanowił wykonać kolejny ruch i trochę odświeżyć samochód, który okazał się wielką rewelacją rynkową. Od 1967 Mustang oferowany był już w nowej bardziej muskularnej odsłonie. I to właśnie roczniki ’67 i ’68 są najbardziej rozpoznawalne. To na ich bazie powstał Shelby GT500E, czyli słynna Eleanor a Steve McQueen w 1968 roku w filmie „Bullitt” przeszedł do historii kinematografii dzięki słynnej siedmiominutowej scenie pościgu, w której swoim Fastbackiem GT (390ci/325hp) [gonił czarnego Chargera R/T (440ci/390hp)

1969/1970

Rok 1969, czyli początek końca pewnej epoki Mustanga. W 1971 Mustang już tylko w niewielkim stopniu przypominał ten kultowy samochód, który podbił serca amerykanów(nie wspominając roczniku 1974) . W latach ’70 przyszedł kryzys paliwowy, który zupełnie zmienił podejście amerykanów do krążowników i potężnych paliwożernych silników.

The Beginnings

60’s in US were very special for couple reasons. Neil Armstrong landed on moon, first Woodstock festival and first internet connection. From our perspective the most important of all of them was the introduction of real muscle cars. The first one was a Pontiac GTO, but the most popular was Mustang introduced in 1964!

1964 

This time we will focus on the first year production Mustang that is often referred to 64 ½ because the production actually started on the 8th of March and sales 17 April of 1964. Buyers had many option to choose from. Let’s start with the body type.

1965/1966

For many people 1965 is the first year of Mustangs, but the true is 1964 was the year!
The most desirable Mustang body was Fastback – introduced in 1965 (77,079 cars manufactures with this body).

1967/1968

By March of 1966 Ford managed to produce a million Mustangs. Since the car was such a success and sales were skyrocketing, Ford decided to update the body a little and in 67 presented new, more masculine body lines.  Year 67-68 are till this day the most desirable models and became very famous thanks for a couple movie cars like Shelby GT500E – Eleanor and a Steven McQueen’s Fastback GT (390ci/325hp) “Bullitt” that was chasing the Charger R/T (440ci/390hp) through the streets of San Francisco

1969/1970

Year 1969 was the beginning of the end of a true classic mustang era. Those were the last years of the true classic mustang look. The body lines were re-designed again adding a more aggressive look, but 1971 Mustang went through some significant changes. The petrol crisis in ’70 changed the way how Americans looked at big and powerful cars with huge engines.

Anfänge

Die 60er Jahre waren ganz besonders für die Amerikaner. Da ist Neil Armstrong auf dem Mond gelandet, es fand die erste Musik-Festival in Woodstock statt und es wurde die erste Internet Verbindung entwickelt. Aus unserer Perspektive ist die Entstehung der echten Muscle Cars viel wichtiger. Der erste war der Pontiac GTO, aber der Ford Mustang ist als die größte Ikone geworden.

1964 

Jetzt ist die Zeit für die Autos  von dem ersten Jahr der Produktion. Die waren als 1964 1/2 bezeichnet, weil die Produktion am 8 März angefangen hat, aber der Mustang war am 17 April 1964 zu verkaufen. Der Käufer hatte mehrere Möglichkeiten, um seine Bedürfnisse anzupassen. Wir beginnen mit dem Karosseriebauform.

1965/1966

Für viele Leute ist das Jahr 1965 das erste Jahr des Mustangs aber es ist nicht wahr und wir haben es euch schon hier geschrieben. Allerdings die wünschenswerte Karosserie von Mustangs ist Fastback (77 079 hergestellt) und es debütierte gerade im Jahr 1965.

1967/1968

Im März 1966 hat der Ford entschieden, ein bisschen das Auto zu erfrischen und es war ein Volltreffer. Der komplett neu gestylte ’67 Mustang wird eingeführt. Die ’67/’68 Jahrgänge sind uns am besten bekannt. In dieser Zeit wurde ein Shelby GT500E hergestellt,  die berühmte Eleanor [Mehr] und der Steve McQueen in einem Film „Bullitt”. Besondere Bekanntheit erlangte der Film aufgrund einer der längsten Verfolgungsjagden der Filmgeschichte zwischen einem 1968er Ford Mustang Fastback und einem Dodge Charger R/T (1968er Modell) in und bei San Francisco.

1969/1970

Das Jahr 1969, also der Anfang vom Ende des Mustangs der Periode. Im Jahr 1971 hat sich der Mustang sehr geändert und er war nicht mehr so populär wie in den vergangenen Jahren. In den 70er Jahren kam eine Ölkrise und das Denken an den leistungsstarken Motoren hat sich bei den Amerikanern komplett geändert.
