1968 Ford Mustang Fastback C-code
[:pl]Tego Mustanga kupiliśmy pod koniec 2016 roku w Nowym Jorku. Jest to Fastback z 1968 roku z silniiem 289ci o mocy 200kM (C-code) i automatyczną skrzynią biegów C4. Karoseria jest przykryta świetnym niebieskim kolorem Presidental Blue, który ładnie komponuje się z niebieskim wnętrzem. Cała specyfikacja jest zgodna z tym jak wyjechał z fabryki.
Od kiedy jest w Polsce przeszedł szereg prac. Zaczęliśmy od odświeżenia wnętrza (wtedy znaleźliśmy fabryczny Build Sheet – rzadko spotykany dokument), później zajęliśmy się zabezpieczeniem podwozia (wraz z wymianą podłużnic) oraz wymianą zawieszenia. Kolejnym etapem było dopracowanie go pod względem mechanicznym. A na koniec założyliśmy nowe felgi z nowymi oponami.
Teraz Mustang jest w naprawdę dobrym stanie. Silnik zawsze odpala bez problemów i równo pracuje. Skrzynia poprawnie zmienia biegi, w zawieszeniu nic nie stuka i auto dobrze trzyma się drogi.
W 2017 roku ceny Fastbacków 67/68 poszły mocno w górę. Nam udało się go kupić wcześniej, więc cena jest bardzo atrakcyjna.

[:en]We’ve been trying to buy this beautiful 68 fastback for over three weeks, which is usually long time for us. Unfortunately the weather in a little town Sanborn, NY by the Niagara Falls wasn’t on our side. It was raining for quite some time and the car haven’t seen a rain for many years. That’s why the owner (a lady) was rescheduling our inspection few times.
She owned the mustang for over six years and treated it like her baby, as she described. Through the time of her ownership she slowly worked on the little things like replacing light bulbs, new emblems, some chromes, etc, and took it to a local classic car specialist two years ago for some minor engine work. They rebuilt the carburetor, replaced the water pump, installed new battery, new coil, fixed few leaks and the mustang was back on the road. They recommended new shocks and she replaced them too. She drove it very occasionally and only in a good weather.
About a year ago she took it to the paint shop and put a new, but original Presidential Blue color paint job. The body was very solid when she bought the car and she put a lot of effort to maintain it in a good shape. Even when she decided to put the car on sale, she was taking it outside only during the sunny days to park it in front of her house. During our inspection we found that the car was very original, still has the door tag, VIN number and the buck tag (which is very rare).
New paint shines really nice. Some of the chromes have been replaced, but some are still original and could use some clean up or replacement. The seats will need to be re-upholstered, a piece of center console will need to be replaced or fixed, because the previous owner installed a newer radio years ago and did a terrible job cutting the holes for different radio knobs. The carpet is new, the headliner is in a really good shape. The door panels look good, but the metal part of the door will need to be painted. The temperature gauge doesn’t work, but those are really very minor and easy fixes that anybody can do in a garage with the help of youtube. The great part about the car is that you can drive it the way it is and enjoy it. It is very presentable, drives great and will get a lot of looks wherever you drive it.
[:de]Der Einkauf diesen Mustang hat über 3 Wochen gedauert, was in unserem Fall undenkbar ist. Leider hat uns das Unwetter in einer kleinen Stadt Sanborn an die Niagarafälle gestört. Der Mustang hat Regen seit vielen Jahren nicht gesehen und wollte die Besitzerin lieber das Auto in der Garage lassen als ein Test Drive machen. Während 3 Wochen haben Regenfälle aufgetreten und mussten wir mehrmals die Überprüfung verschieben.
Sie hat den Mustang vor 6 Jahren gekauft und während dieser Zeit hat sich sehr um das Auto gekümmert (nicht überraschend). Sie hatte auf dem Laufenden kleine Dinge im Auto verbessert, wie zum Beispiel: Austausch der Glühbirne, der Embleme, der einigen Chrom usw. Sie hat sich vor 2 Jahren entschieden, den Mustang zu einem lokalen Fach-Klassiker zu geben um den Motor zu renovieren. Es wurde den Vergaser, Kraftstoffpumpe renoviert. Die neue Autobatterie und die Spule wurden montiert. Der Mustang kam wieder auf die Straße, aber der Mechaniker hat ihr empfohlen, Stoßdämpfer zu ersetzen, die sie ein paar Wochen später gemacht hat.
Vor einem Jahr hat sie den Mustang in einem Lackhersteller lackieren lassen, um die ursprüngliche Farbe „Presidental Blue“ neu anzulegen. Die Karosserie war in gutem Zustand als sie das Auto gekauft hat und hat sie diesen Zustand bis jetzt gehalten. Sogar als sie versuchte, das Auto zu verkaufen, hat sie den Mustang nur an sonnigen Tagen vor dem Haus gestellt. Während der Überprüfung haben wir gesehen, dass das Fahrzeug sehr echt ist, hat noch ein Typenschild und „buck tag“ (was sehr selten ist).
Neuer Lack glänzt sehr schön. Einige Chrom wurde ausgetauscht aber manche sind immer noch originell und könnte es gut gereinigt oder ersetzt werden. Auf den Sitzen sollten neue Bezüge gesetzt werden. Der Teppich ist neu, Headliner ist wirklich in einem sehr guten Zustand. Die Türverkleidung sieht gut aus, aber könnte man manche Elemente ausmalen. Die Temperaturanzeige funktioniert nicht, aber es ist bei den Mustangs sehr typisch und jeder kann es mit YouTube-Hilfe in der Garage reparieren. Das Beste ist, dass du sofort mit dem Auto fahren kannst und es genießen. Das Fahrzeug präsentiert sich sehr gut und läuft einwandfrei.
