[:pl]To historia o cierpliwości. Wszystko zaczęło się kilka miesięcy temu kiedy to klient odezwał się do nas z prośbą o znalezienie wymarzonego Mustanga. Podesłaliśmy mu kilka propozycji aktualnie dostępnych na rynku, ale żaden z nich nie odpowiadał jego preferencjom. Zapisał się na nasz newsletter i kilka dni później napisał, że obserwuje samochód z E-baya, którego właśnie wysłaliśmy. Był to Mustang Fastback z 1967 roku z największym w tamtym roku dostępnym silnikiem 390ci o mocy 330 kM (S-code) w bardzo atrakcyjnej cenie. Tego samego dnia skontaktowaliśmy się z właścicielem aby potwierdzić zgodność numeru VIN i zdobyć kilka dodatkowych informacji. Aukcja na E-bay zakończyła się poniżej ceny minimalnej więc złożyliśmy ofertę. Niestety było za późno – Mustang sprzedał się zaraz po zakończeniu aukcji….
W tym momencie uświadomiliśmy sobie jak dobra była to okazja i poznaliśmy szczegółowe wymagania naszego klienta. Fastback 67-68 silnik 390ci z manualną skrzynia biegów. S-cody są bardzo unikatowymi Mustangami i rzadko kiedy trafiają się w dobrej cenie. Nad szukaniem kolejnej dobrej okazji spędziliśmy kilka miesięcy, ale w końcu znaleźliśmy dokładnie to czego szukaliśmy. Niestety w ogłoszeniu było tylko jedno zdjęcie, ale tym razem decyzja zapadła bardzo szybko. Zadzwoniłem do właściciela z prośbą o więcej zdjęć i umówiłem się na inspekcję. Nazajutrz kupiłem bilet a właściciel zadzwonił do mnie z informacją, że ma kolejnego zainteresowanego, który chce obejrzeć samochód przede mną. Powiedziałem, że już kupiłem drogi bilet i chciałbym, żeby go dla mnie przytrzymał. Na szczęście okazał się dobrym gościem i obiecał mi, że nie sprzeda Mustanga dopóki ja go nie obejrzę. Inny zainteresowany obejrzał samochód dzień przede mną oraz złożył właścicielowi ofertę o 3 500$ niższą niż cena w ogłoszeniu i zadeklarował się, że kupi go jeśli my się nie zdecydujemy. Po szczegółowej inspekcji wiedziałem, że samochód warty swojej ceny.
Jest to naprawdę dobrze pracujący i jeżdżący Mustang. Nie działa w nim jedynie prędkościomierz i wskaźnik paliwo co jest bardzo częstą usterką w Mustangach. Odpalił na zimnym „na dotyk” a podczas przejażdżki nie zaobserwowałem żadnych niepokojących oznak.
Lakier wygląda dobrze tak samo jak wnętrze czy błyszczące chromy.
Jest to prawdziwy klasyk w bardzo oryginalnym stanie.
Gdy zapadła decyzja o zakupie tego auta rozpoczęliśmy negocjacje. Właściciel okazał się być bardzo hojny i zgodził się na naszą – 3 000$ poniżej ceny z ogłoszenia. Taka cena za S-code’a z manualną skrzynią biegów i wspomaganiem kierownicy to naprawdę super okazja!
Sean jest prawdziwym pasjonatem, który w swojej kolekcji ma również dwa inne Mustangi – kabrioleta i coupe – z silnikami Big Block co świadczy o tym, że wiedział co kupuje. Bardzo dba o swoje samochody i przynajmniej raz w tygodniu zabiera je na przejażdżkę.
Wisienką na torcie jest „Build sheet” samochodu, który jest bardzo unikatowym i wartościowym dokumentem dla kolekcjonerów. „Build sheet” to oryginalny dokument w którym są zapisane wszystkie informacje o tym w jakiej konfiguracji samochód wyjechał z fabryki.
Panie Michale gratulujemy![:en]This story is about patience. It started few months ago, when a client reached out to us asking for help finding a car. We sent him couple proposals currently available on the market, but none of them seemed to be fitting his preferences. He signed up for our newsletter and few days later e-mailed us back that one of the cars that he was watching on e-bay showed up in the newsletter. It was a big block 390 Fastback in a very good price. The same day we reached out to the seller and received the confirmation on VIN numbers and couple more details. The e-bay auction ended below the minimum reserved price and we made an offer to the seller. Unfortunately it was too late, the car sold right after the auction ended. The moment it sold we knew that it was a good deal and exactly what our client was looking for – S-code 67-68 Fastback with manual transmission. Those are very rare cars and finding another good deal wasn’t easy. It took us couple months to find it, but we did! There was only one picture available on the local ad, but the decision was very quick this time. I called the owner asked for more pictures and and scheduled the visit. The same day I bought the ticket, seller called me and said he’s got another guy coming to check out the car. I told him I already booked an expensive flight and would like him to hold on with the sale until I see it. He was kind enough to say that he won’t sell until I see it. The other buyer was there a day before me and made the seller an offer $3,5k below the asking price telling that he would buy it if we won’t. After a detailed inspection we knew the car was worth it. If was a really strong running car with only speedometer and fuel gauge that were not working. It started right away with and drove without issues. The paint looked really good, interior was also redone and the chromes were shiny. It was a very presentable classic kept in very original condition.

The owner was a very honest guy. We offered him a little better deal than the other guy ($3k below the asking price) and he agreed to sell it. It was a really good deal for the S-code with manual transmission and power steering. The owner had couple other cars, including two other mustangs, a convertible and a coupe. All three fords were big block cars, which is a good indication that the owner knew what he was buying.
He took a really good care about his cars driving them on all weekends to keep them running once a while. He was a true classic car enthusiast. The cherry on the top of the cake was a “build sheet”, for the car. Build sheets are very valuable those days and very rare. They are very important for the classic car collectors. For those who are not familiar with build sheets – it’s a document that contains all the information about the car and options how it left the factory. Here it is:

Das ist eine Geschichte über die Geduld. Es begann alles vor ein paar Monate, als ein Kunde nach einem Traum-Mustang fragte. Wir schickten ihm einige Vorschläge, die derzeit auf dem Markt verfügbar waren aber keiner von diesen Wagen erfüllte seine Präferenzen. Er hat sich auf unserem Newsletter schreiben lassen und ein paar Tage später schrieb uns per E-Mail, dass er ein Auto auf E-bay beobachtet, das erschien auf den Newsletter. Es war ein Mustang Fastback aus 1967 Jahr mit dem großen Motor Big-Block 390ci in einem sehr attraktiven Preis. Am selben Tag erreichen wir den Verkäufer um die VIN-Nummer zu bestätigen und einige zusätzliche Informationen zu erhalten. Die Auktion auf E-bay wurde unter dem Mindestpreis beendet, daher haben wir ein Angebot gemacht. Leider war es zu spät- der Mustang wurde direkt nach der Auktion verkauft.
In dem Moment, als wir uns bewusst machten, dass es ein gutes Angebot war und erkannten wir die spezifischen Anforderungen unserer Kunden. Fastback 67-68 mit dem 390ci Motor und mit der Schaltgetriebe. Das sind sehr seltene Autos und es ist sehr schwierig dieses Auto in einem guten Preis zu finden. Die Suche dauerte ein paar Monate aber endlich fanden wir das was wir suchten. Auf der Anzeige gab es leider nur ein Foto, aber dieses Mal trafen wir sehr schnell die Entscheidung. Ich rief den Besitzer an und fragte nach weiteren Fotos. Ich vereinbarte mit dem Verkäufer einen Termin für die Inspektion. Kurz darauf rief mich den Verkäufer an und sagte, dass anderer Kerl hat große Interesse das Auto zu kaufen. Ich sagte sofort, dass ich schon einen Flug buchte und möchte damit er es für mich behalte. Zum Glück versprach mir, dass er das Auto nicht verkaufen wird bis ich es sehe. Der andere Käufer hat ihm 3 500 $ niedriger als der Preis aus der Anzeige angeboten und sagte, dass er den Wagen kauft wenn wir uns nicht endscheiden. Nach einer Prüfung des Autos wussten wir, dass das Auto seinen Preis wert ist.
Der Mustang ist in einer sehr guten Kondition. Nur der Tachometer und das Tankanzeigen funktioniert nicht, was bei den Mustangs sehr bekannt ist. Das Auto startet sofort und ohne Probleme. Die Farbe sieht sehr gut aus, ebenfalls der Innenraum und glänzende Chrome.
Das ist ein echter Klassiker in sehr gutem Zustand.
Als die Entscheidung getroffen wurde, das Auto zu kaufen, begannen wir mit den Verhandlungen. Der Eigentümer war sehr großzügig und vereinbarte mit uns -3 000 $ von dem normallen Preis. Es war ein super Schnäppchen für so einen S-code mit einem manuellen Getriebe und mit der Servolenkung!
Der Sean ist ein echter Autoliebhaber, der in seiner Sammlung auch zwei andere Mustangs hat (einen Cabrio und Coupe mit Big-Block Motoren) was bedeutet, dass er sich gut auskennt und wusste was er kauft. Er kümmert sich sehr um die Autos und mindestens einmal pro Woche nimmt die für eine Fahrt.
Das „Build sheet“ ist der letzte Teil, der das Auto sehr wertvoll macht. Es ist ein echtes Dokument, in dem alle Informationen über die Auto-Optionen stehen und wie verließ das Fahrzeug die Fabrik.
