Ford Mustang Mach1 1969
[:pl]Słoneczna Kalifornia to stan, który idealnie służy klasykom. Niska wilgotność powietrza, brak śniegu i nieczęste opady deszczu pozwalają w pełni wykorzystać potencjał klasyków, które nie muszą przez większość roku stać w garażu W miniony weekend wybrałem się właśnie tam, aby obejrzeć kolejnego wyjątkowego Mustanga. Tym razem obiektem naszej inspekcji był piękny Mach 1 z 1969 roku. Wymagania co do samochodu były jasne- ciemny kolor, bardzo dobry stan i unikatowość. Dokładnie takiego Mustanga znaleźliśmy na zachodnim wybrzeżu.
W 1969 roku Ford przeprowadził lifting Mustang, który miał na celu przygotowanie drugiej generacji kultowego auta, które podbiło serca amerykanów. Oprócz zmian wizualnych zmianom uległy również nazwy. Od tego roku Fastback nazywał się Sportroof a wersja GT – Mach1 a pod ich maski trafiły nowe silniki 351ci Clevland, które generują moc 290 kM i oznaczony są literą M w numerze VIN.
Na miejscu byłem w niedzielę o 18 polskiego czasu. Właścicielem okazał się Richard, który miał już za sobą jedną udaną renowację, a Mustang, którego oglądaliśmy był jego drugim projektem i już podjął decyzję o rozpoczęciu kolejnego. Właściwie to już kupił kolejnego Mach1, ale z nieco większym silnikiem (390ci), ale brakowało mu miejsca w garażu.
Pasjonat, który zna się na samochodach.
Auto jest w bardzo dobrym stanie mechanicznym. Właściciel kupił go ok 3 lata temu w całkiem niezłym stanie i powoli dopracowywał wszystkie szczegóły wykorzystując jak najwięcej oryginalnych elementów oraz dodając kilka delikatnych dodatków poprawiających niezawodność, jak nowocześniejsze niezawodne zegary, elektroniczna pompa paliwa, usprawnione zawieszenie.
Dodatkową zaletą Mustanga, jest dobra dokumentacja. Ten zniszczony dokument, który możecie zobaczyć na poniższym filmie to oryginalny „build sheet”, który dokumentował wszystkie detale z jakimi auto wyjechało z fabryki. Na miejscu nowego właściciela oprawiłbym go w ramkę, ponieważ znalezienie auta z tym dokumentem to dzisiaj rzadkość. Trzeba też wspomnieć, że jest dużo rachunków dokumentujących, naprawy, które były przeprowadzane przez tego jak i poprzedniego właściciela.
Gdy spotykamy się z tak dobrą dokumentacją, dbałością o detale i słuchamy historii, jak właściciel przez długi czas szukał oryginalnej deski rozdzielczej, bo nie chciał jej zastąpić zamiennikiem, lub jak wymienił korbki szyb, bo te które były na aucie pochodziły z 70 roku zamiast z 69, to wiemy że kupujemy auto z dobrych rąk. Tak utrzymane auto z tak obszerną dokumentacją nie trafiają się często i są prawdziwą gratką dla kolekcjonerów.
Kolejne bardzo ciekawe auto zmierza już w stronę Polski.

Low humidity, no snow, no salt on the streets and very little rain makes perfect conditions for crusing your classic most of the days in a year. There is no other location in USA giving more days “Out of garage” than California. This is is probably one of the reasons why that part of the world became the heart of muscle car, hot rod and classic cars culture. That’s where I went last weekend to inspect a beautiful 1969 Mach 1 Black Jade M-code.
In 1969 Mustang went through a couple changes to attract more customers. It received a new facelifting and new badging. Fastback was now called Sportsroof and GT version was replaced with Mach1. There were few new engines introduced that year as well. One of them was a 351ci, 290 HP Cleveland that was market with M letter in the car’s VIN number.
We scheduled the visit for 9AM and I arrived few minutes before and noticed Richard on the driveway de-dusting the Mustang that was already pulled out of garage. The weather was just perfect and I noticed from the distance that the car was shining in the sun. Richard, the owner came to be a really nice guy, real gear head. This Mach1 was his second restoration and he was selling the car to make room for the third, which he already bought – Another 1969, but a Big Block 390 engine.
The car was in a great mechanical condition. Richard purchased the car 3 years ago and put a lot of work in taking it to the next level and making it a reliable, great driving car. With as many original parts as possible, adding only few aftermarket parts that significantly improved it’s reliability.
Another great thing about this Mustang is the documentation that you can see on the video below. This worn out document is the original “build sheet” that documents a detailed specification how the car left the factory. This is really rare nowadays and definitely should be framed and hanged in a garage. In addition to that there is a folder of receipts from Richard and from the previous owner. When you see all that documentation and listen to the stories, how difficult it was to find an original dash pad or how he changed the window handles, because those on the car were from a 1970 mustang, you immediately know that the car is coming from good hands.
This kid of car with such a great documentation is a real deal for any collector.
Another great classic going to Europe![:de]Das Sonnige Kalifornien ist ein perfekter Platz für klassische Autos. Niedrige Luftfeuchtigkeit, kein Schnee, kein Salz auf den Straßen und sehr wenig Regenfälle erlauben sich das volle Potenzial der Klassiker ausnutzen. Am vergangenen Wochenende bin ich gerade nach Kalifornien geflogen, damit noch einen besonderen Mustang nachschauen. In diesem Fall unseres Gegenstands war Mustang Mach 1 aus 1969. Unsere Anforderungen waren klar: eine dunkle Farbe, sehr guter Zustand und die Einzigartigkeit. Wir fanden genau solchen Mustang an der Westküste.
Im Jahr 1969 führte Ford Mustang ein Lifting, der als Ziel eine Vorbereitung auf die zweite Generation hatte. Außer visuelle Änderungen wurden auch Namen geändert. Seit diesem Jahr das Fastback wurde als Sportroof genannt und GT Version- Mach1 und unter ihren Motorhauben trafen neue Motoren 351ci Clevland, die 290 Pferde haben und sind mit dem M in der VIN-Nummer markiert.
Ich war um 18 Uhr vor Ort. Der Besitzer stellte sich als Richard vor, der schon eine erfolgreiche Wiederherstellung hinter sich hatte. Der Mustang, der wir geschaut haben, war sein zweites Projekt. Eigentlich hat er der nächste Mach1 mit dem 390ci Motor gekauft aber hatte keinen Platz mehr in der Garage
Das Auto ist in einem sehr guten mechanischen Zustand. Der Besitzer kaufte es vor etwa drei Jahren und hat sich um alle Kleinigkeiten gekümmert. Er hat möglichst viele Originalteile verwendet, die deutlich das Auto verbessert haben.
Ein großer Vorteil ist eine gute Dokumentation. Das zerstörte Dokument, das Sie unten auf dem Video sehen können ist ein Original “build sheet“. Das dokumentiert alle Details mit denen Das Auto die Fabrik verlassen hat. Heutzutage ist sowas selten zu sehen, deswegen würde ich es gerne auf der Besitzer Stelle einrahmen und in der Garage aufhängen. Wir müssen auch dazu sagen, dass es viele Rechnungen von der Reparatur gibt.
Wenn wir uns mit solchen Dokumentation und Sorge um Details treffen und hören wir die Geschichte, wo der Besitzer lange Zeit ursprünglicher Armaturenbrett suchte, weil er kein Ersatz ersetzen wollte, dann wissen wir, dass wir das Auto aus guten Händen kaufen . So ein gepflegtes Auto mit einer umfangreichen Dokumentation kommt selten vor und ist eine gute Gelegenheit für Sammler .
